Ian’s wife, Janet, has broken her arm, and Ian may therefore be used extensively as a family taxi service over the next three to four weeks. This in turn may affect the dispatch of orders, although Ian expects to keep on top during this traditionally quieter time of the year, and will affect when Ian is available to answer the phone. It has certainly sabotaged today’s planned dispatch of orders.
After a year of Janet being treated for and recovering from leukaemia, a broken arm seems almost trivial. 🙂
Fighting 15s is currently out of stock of Impetus, Extra Impetus 1 and Extra Impetus 2. These ancients wargames rules and supplements have sold very well over the past few months – rivalled only by Napoleonic ruleset Lasalle in popularity. A new delivery is expected in September, when we will also take delivery of the forthcoming Extra Impetus 3.
Customers can still order these rules in the shop, and we will send out orders for them just as soon as we have the books back in stock.
Fighting 15s will be at Claymore, Edinburgh, on Saturday 7 August 2010. Ian has planned his itinerary and will be making the journey up from the Isle of Wight in stages, taking in some sights along the way. This means anyone who has an advance order needs to place it before Wednesday 4 August, and preferably earlier: there is no opportunity for last-minute advance orders as Ian will have left on 5 August.
The car will be full of Coat d’arms paint, a display case and whatever else can be fitted in, with 15mm AB Figures and advance orders a priority. The paint and display case displace a number of crates that Ian usually takes to shows, so customers with special requests to see ranges should place an advance order. Please note that Ian does not take Eureka’s 15mm WWI, WWII and Indo-China figures to shows except to advance order because they are particularly fiddly to deal with.
As usual Fighting 15s will have a selection of Eureka’s Historicon advance releases, including the 28mm Turtle Tank, 28mm Jurassic Reich dinosaurs, 28mm Wars of the French Revolution Cossack Looting Party, 28mm Modern French Foreign Legion, and 15mm AB French Chasseur a Cheval casualties. Apart from the French Foreign Legion, which have now been officially released, these items are available only at shows, on a first-come, first-served basis: you will not be able to buy them by mail order until their official release.
Eureka Miniatures’ newly released 28mm modern French Foreign Legion figures are now in stock and available in the Fighting 15s online shop. Please note that we have limited stock of these figures, as our initial stock was intended to be advance releases for sale at UK wargames shows.
Fighting 15s has received the latest new releases from Oddzial Osmy of Poland in its 1:600 (3mm) range of modern and WWII ranges of aircraft and AFVs.
The new arrivals are:
IS-619 Kfir C2, Israeli version of Mirage IIIC
World War II
WWH-670 Wespe, German self-propelled 105mm gun
WWH-671 Hummel, German self-propelled 150mm gun
WBR-641 Blackburn Skua, British Fleet Air Arm dive bomber and fighter
WBR-642 Fairey Fulmar , British Fleet Air Arm two-seat fighter
WIT-619 L6/40 Italian light tank
WIT-620 Macchi C202 Folgore, Italian fighter
WIT-621 Italian infantry support weapons: Breda 8mm HMG, 81mm mortar and Cannone da 65/17 mountain gun
Packs are £3.50 each including VAT, and typically contain 8 aircraft, or 15 vehicles/guns. The addition of two more dreadful British warplanes is bound to delight enthusiasts who enjoy playing early-war scenarios…
All are available now in the Fighting 15s online shop.
Sales of the 15mm Napoleonics from Campaign Game Miniatures have not lived up to expectations and Fighting 15s has withdrawn this range from the products on offer in the online shop. Fighting 15s will have a limited supply of some codes for a short while longer for customers who contact us by email, but remaining stocks of CGM figures will be melted down by the end of August. They will therefore resurface at some point as licensed castings of 15mm AB Figures.
Fighting 15s, therefore, will not have CGM figures at any more shows this year.
