Fighting 15s has begun re-releasing the 15mm range of medievals for Tannenberg 1410 that were originally produced by Oddzial Osmy of Poland.
The first releases are:
MT-01 Teutonic Order spearmen
MT-02 Teutonic Order crossbowmen
The re-released figures have been repackaged and are now available in packs of 8 foot figures, priced at £3.40 including VAT per pack (£2.83 ex tax). The spearmen are provided with separate shields, but are not provided with spears.
New master and production moulds have been made for these figures, which are cast to order in the UK by Fighting 15s. Our next release in the range will be the Teutonic Order command. The figures are heroically sized 15mm.
The figures are available now in the online shop.
Over the next few days Fighting 15s will be trying out MyHermes as a delivery option for some orders, and as a result orders may take a day or two longer to arrive. I feel forced to experiment with delivery options for UK customers rather than stick to using Royal Mail because of the imminent possibility of disruption to the postal service now that the Communication Workers Union (CWU) has voted in favour of strike action.
When the CWU last went on strike, there wasn’t quite the array of affordable UK courier services as an alternative to the Royal Mail, and I pretty much had to intelligently post items around strike days to get them to customers as quickly as possible. This will remain the plan for smaller UK orders, although I may well switch to a flat delivery charge for all orders up to 2kg in weight if the experiment with MyHermes works. I am not entirely sure that the new couriers will cope with the volume of packets that may result during a postal strike, especially when customers find they are cheaper than the Royal Mail for some parcel weights.
Non UK orders will continue to be sent by post, again intelligently posted around days of strike action.
Please note that it is not possible to send water-based paint using MyHermes, and so orders for paint will continue to be sent by post, even during a strike.
Fighting 15s has at last uploaded to the online shop the last codes for the French horse artillery in Eureka Miniatures’ range of 28mm Wars of the French Revolution figures. This has taken longer than expected owing to some discrepancies in picture and product codes for the crew on wurst caissons, and we’ve waited for a quiet moment to sort this out.
None of the codes are held in stock, and the range is obtained to special order from Eureka Miniatures in Australia.
Eureka Miniatures of Australia has expanded its range of 20mm World War II figures with the addition of US Pacific Theatre Marines for 1941 to 1945. Eureka is expanding its 20mm WWII line to mirror its 15mm line for the same period, and the US Marines join the existing 20mm Japanese and Australians for that theatre, and the Winter War Finns.
The figures are available to order now in the Fighting 15s online shop, with a basic rifle squad of 13 figures costing £16.00 including VAT (£13.33 ex VAT); prices vary according to set. Fighting 15s does not yet hold stocks of these figures, but they are currently on order with Eureka and we hope to have stock soon.
Eureka Miniatures of Australia has added mounted Arquebusiers de Grassin 1744-49 to its existing range of 28mm foot figures.
