Austrian cavalry additions now in from AB

15mm AB Figures: KK65 Austrian uhlan charging

15mm AB Figures: KK65 Austrian uhlan charging

Fighting 15s now has in stock the latest additions to the 15mm AB Figures range of Napoleonics: Austrian hussars at rest (AB-KK60) and Austrian uhlans charging (AB-KK65). The additions neatly fill in the long-existing gaps in the list of codes for the Austrian cavalry.

Both codes are currently imported from Eureka Miniatures in Australia, and so may be subject to shipping delays if Fighting 15s’ stocks are substantially diminished. Other Austrian cavalry from AB is currently cast here in the UK under licence.

The figures are £5.20 inc VAT for a pack of four troopers with horses. The charging uhlans are one-piece castings.

15mm AB Figures: The Scots Greys

The latest arrivals from AB Figures in 15mm in the Fighting 15s shop are the newly sculpted Scots Greys and British Household Cavalry from Tony Barton. They join the recently released British light dragoons and heavy dragoons in helmet, further expanding the AB line-up for the 1815 campaign in particular.

Packs of four troopers cost £5.20 inc VAT, and packs of two command cost £2.60 inc VAT.

The Fighting 15s shop now allows at rest or charging horses to be chosen as appropriate for AB cavalry command packs if a choice of at rest or charging troopers is also available.

Foot figures currently work out at 70p each including VAT (about 58p ex tax).

The light and heavy dragoons are suitable for use in the Peninsula from 1812 onwards, and for the 1815 campaign in the Low Countries.

Stay tuned over the next week as we also update the Fighting 15s shop and announce the accompanying Dutch-Belgian infantry arrivals from AB.

Eureka Miniatures 15mm modern Russians and Chechens

russians_blog

One of the most eagerly awaited releases from Eureka Miniatures of Australia is its 15mm modern Russians and Chechens, advance samples of which hit the show scene last year. The result? Lots of requests for the figures which, despite having stocks for some months, Fighting 15s has been unable to sell until the official release: the figures have only been available to members of the 300 Club that supported the project.

The figures are now available to the general public, and have been added to the Fighting 15s shop.

The release has coincided with some movement in the exchange rate, as the Oz dollar is losing ground to the pound, and figures work out at 60p each including VAT (£2.65 inc VAT for the support weapons sets).

Oddzial Osmy 15mm: Cossacks 1812

Fighting 15s has re-released Oddzial Osmy’s 15mm Cossacks for 1812, with new moulds made from the original masters. The figures are part of a small Napoleonic range originally made by the Polish figures manufacturer, and now owned by Fighting 15s.

The figures are cast open-handed and lances are not provided. Figures are available in packs of four troopers for £3.40 (code NR-01), with command figures (cossack with sword) available in a pack of two for £1.70 (code NR-02). A unit pack of 12 figures is available for £10.00. All prices include VAT.

Oddzial Osmy re-releases from Fighting 15s: Teutonic infantry previews

IF

Next up in the 15mm re-releases of former Oddzial Osmy ranges from Fighting 15s will be the Teutonic crossbowmen and spearmen. We now have the production masters made for the moulds, using the original master figures as a starting point, and hope to get the production moulds made in the next few weeks.

The figures were originally part of a small range that Polish company Oddzial Osmy made for the battle of Tannenberg. Fighting 15s now owns these figures. They are on the tall side for 15mm.

Fighting 15s re-releases 15mm Krakus cavalry

15mm Krakus cavalry 1813

15mm Krakus cavalry 1813

At long last Ian at Fighting 15s has got his act together and started re-releasing the 15mm figures originally produced by Oddzial Osmy of Poland. The company produced a small range of 15mm Napoleonics and Medievals, to which Fighting 15s now has the rights. Fighting 15s is in the process of making new moulds from the masters.

The first re-release is the 15mm Napoleonic Krakus cavalry for 1813, one of the most popular sets in the range. Three units of Polish cossacks (Krakus) were raised in 1812, but combined into one regiment. Headgear varied, and the Oddzial Osmy set represented two variants: a tall czapka, and a lower, more traditional Polish cap, but not the melon-shaped cap shown in some pictures. The Krakus fought loyally for Napoleon, serving into 1814.

The original set was released as a box of 15 figures, but Fighting 15s has re-released the troopers and command separately. The troopers are available in a pack of four for £3.30 inc VAT (£2.75 ex VAT) and the command is available in a pack of two for £1.70 inc VAT (£1.42 ex VAT). The troopers now have cast lances – the originals were open-handed.

The figures are best suited in size to smaller 15mm figures from other manufacturers, but as the Krakus were mounted on small horses they may work with larger 15mm figures.

Oddzial Osmy, of course, still produces its own 1:600 ranges and 15mm SF range, which are stocked by Fighting 15s.

15mm AB Figures: new ensigns for Waterloo British

Fighting 15s now has in stock the ensigns with bare pole for the 15mm 1815 British infantry from AB Figures. The range was originally released with ensigns with cast flags, although some of the initial sets available at Salute 2012 came with ensigns with bare poles.

The figures are:

AB-WB28 Ensign standing, bare pole
AB-WB29 Ensign marching, bare pole

They are available as an option within the British 1815 infantry command pack. A command pack of eight figures is £6.00 including VAT.

Tony Barton and Eureka Miniatures are currently at work on future releases for the 1815 range.
